Honestly, I've found few websites that don't work with Firefox and when I run into issues, it's usually fixed by turning off an add-on on that specific page, so Firefox isn't exactly unusable by any means if you happen to like it. I mean, I say this as someone who collects browsers like they're Pokemon, but why not have both? Use Firefox if you want to avoid Chromium-based browsers for ethical concerns over Google's monopoly, but also have a privacy-centric Chromium browser like Brave (or Vivaldi) on the back burner in case you run into a particular site that just won't work with Firefox. I'm debating if I want to go back to Brave, but the main thing that bothers me is the thought of going back to Chromium and indirectly supporting a monopoly of Google, therefore letting Google control the web. And I know webkit is still out there, people can fork and use it (though the main browse that did this, Epiphany, has its own issues according to YouTube channel The Linux Experiment). I'm afraid of Google having the only browser engine. I like supporting competition, and Brave uses Chromium. And something that does bother me, Chromium and the Blink engine. Codecademy's resume features also don't work correctly. Some websites behave odd on Brave, I think Roll20 (a D&D Virtual Tabletop site) mostly works, but throws warnings on Brave. Seems Brave is a good Browser, possibly better than Firefox in some ways (the CEO is actually a former Mozilla CEO). I know why, but it is a factor, Brave has their own search engine, that might be worth trying. Default search, I want to like DuckDuckGo, but the results are nowhere near what I usually get from Google, Yahoo, and Bing. Honestly Brave is better than Firefox in this regard. So I don't consider myself privacy paranoid, but I am privacy conscious. I have used Brave in the past, and I do like it, but there are issues that make me return to my old favorite, Firefox.
